It is
the purpose, vision and mission to facilitate employment
opportunities for people with autism and other developmental
disabilities. An organization such as C.I is comprised of people
with disabilities making their own choices as a disability minority
group company in business and promoting enhanced opportunity for one
another. Originally founded by me, an individual with high
functioning autism focused on achieving the improbable and whom
remains principle owner. I formulated a committee of people with
disabilities and garnished media awareness.
Since the media awareness the company has grown with lots of hard work and strives
to facilitate as much opportunity as possible. It is the mission, the purpose, the
community integrations and the improbable which has manifest into
such positive things. It is the goal to achieve partial to full
self-sufficiency from tax dollars by employing one another and
leading ourselves to an economic self-sustainment and fair and equal
potential of the American Dream.
C.I is a autism and developmental disability otherwise freedom of
speech
organization, employment facilitator, advocacy directive and a
generator of public awareness. The audacity manifest of it is the
unusual makeup of the company, it's purpose and the thus far
received public support and federal grand money for disability to
work which has propelled the organization to a potential beyond what
was originally imagined. For this I thank the supporters of Fortuna
Candles and look forward to making this organization part of
Humboldt County for years to come with the support of community
members and the help of others whom are part of it now and whom will
become part of it in the years to come.

News:
Fortuna Candles ( July 02, 2008) - Reaching to now 11
reseller locations without in-depth attempt to expand prior to
finishing up organizing and reaching a respectable inventory buffer
things look good. 4,200 tealight sample packs are being prepared for
a local newspaper for distribution. Sample boxes have been put up in
2 locations with 40 more being filled for placement.
Fortuna Candles (July 02, 2008) - A newly designed 2-tear
individual reseller security system for verification has been put
together. C.I F.C is now using the internet and full color business
card I.D's. Each contain way's to see that an individual has
authorization to sell F.C candles in the community. One being a
telephone number to call to verify the individual is an approved
person and an online site to visit to confirm that the photo and the
person are visually legitimate. Each card contains rules of the
transactions including do not pay before delivery, do not give gifts
or tips, provide exact change as none is available and to make
checks out to Fortuna Candles. With this new photo security system
committing fraud against Fortuna Candles disability to work and it's
customers is nearly impossible.
